First, order your XCHNAGE Box from our website.
Second, declutter your closet of unwanted apparel (in any condition).
Third, schedule your porch pick-up.
Fourth, leave your bags on the front porch, and we’ll pick them up!
The 3 C's
The three pillars at the foundation of our mission are:
1. Circularity: waste is used as a resource, and clothes maintain their highest value for as long as possible
2. Community: items are redistributed directly to neighbors in need at no cost to them
3. Conservation: by repairing, reusing, and recycling, we are reducing the harm associated with the production of new clothes
Our membership is seamless:
Customers select a support level, fill one of our boxes with clothing they no longer want, then leave it on the porch for on-demand collection. The items are then sorted according to condition into five processing streams:
1. Resale - Items are available for sale at local pop-up markets
2. Redistribution - Clothes go to neighbors in need at free mobile closet events
3. Repair - holes and stains are repaired, and items are sold or redistributed
4. Reimagine - local artisans transform textile waste into one-of-a-kind designs
5. Recycle - any leftover scraps that can’t be used for clothing will be given a new purpose
